Disco Dingo III | Grace Darling Hotel

2019-06-09 15:00:00 - 2019-06-10 01:00:00

Grace Darling Hotel - 114 Smith Street Collingwood, Victoria 3066

After twelve months on the dusty trail the Disco Dingos will be checking back into their most favourite hotel; the Grace Darling in Collingwood. It is there that they will bring you another irresistible instalment of art, live musics and performances, all in the name of supporting a cause they love.

This time Dingos are raising much-needed funds for Eyes for All, a great little project that aims to make prosthetic eyes more accessible to people in need. A 100% of proceeds will go towards setting up the first ocular prosthetics clinic in a public hospital in Lagos, Nigeria (LASUTH Hospital) and will help with the following essentials:
• purchasing of machinery, equipment and materials
• the training of a local staff member for 6 months or longer (in this time the staff member will be taught to make ocular prostheses, how to operate, stock and run a clinic so that the practice can be sustainable and can carry on into the future).

The clinic in LASUTH Hospital will help to make ocular prostheses more accessible and affordable to those that need it most, as the only current way to undertake such a procedure is to go through a private clinic (this costs roughly the equivalent of a years worth of rent for many people).

Lending their time and their talents on this special occasion, we have this incredibly generous lineup of artists:

Toni Yotzi
Ella Thompson (Live)
Danny Hotep
Damned Juan (Live)
Grace Ferguson (Live)
KettoKai (Live)
JADA (Performance)
